Decorated with orange chrysanthemums on green stems and leaves, against a white cream colored ground over engine turned radiant sunburst motif. The back with intricate engine turned 'fish scale' design. Opening to reveal a mirror and hinged lid with empty powder well. Inside with a beautifully engraved monogram of interlaced initials HMS. Bearing the marks of the lion passant,
